Does the scooter turns? We just got it and it doesn’t allow flexibility to turn to the sides

Is the scooter supposed to allow flexibility to turn or just goes straight?

The scooter direction is controlled from the handle bars. If the rider presses harder on the left side then the scooter will approach to the left and vice versa. The handlebar and suitcase do not swivel to make a turn.
